Well, hey there. It’s Kristen. Welcome to Day 19 of Love Thyself: 30 Ways, 30 Days.
Today my thought is about the idea of, kind of, paving a path and being first, if you will. And this thought came to me … I was on … last week I was on a conference call and I was listening to a gentleman talk about the subject matter that we were all listening to the call for and his comment was, (paraphrased) You know, this is all easier for all of you, in a way — because, when I started to learn about all of this, I didn’t have anybody, kind of, presenting it to me in the way that I’m able to offer it to you, or give me the information that I’m giving to you right now.
And he had a point. You know, there is something about being first, if you will — kind of being … paving the path in a certain area, a certain consciousness, certainly, a certain line of thinking, or a certain profession. You know, path-pavers and people who live at the leading edge and the cutting edge really have their tasks cut out for them. And, often, they’re seen as … they can be thought of as, maybe, crazy, for a while, quite frankly, or … by people around them. Or a little nutty or a little wacky or, oh, there he or she goes again with that thing.
But it’s always crazy until somebody does it. It’s always crazy until people start to see the value of it and the benefit of it. You know, it’s … taking in new information, changing the way we think, it can be difficult.
So, if you are somebody who is a path-paver, if you are somebody who is kind of going first — especially in the ways of, say, consciousness — you know, and you’re in the first in your, kind of, circle of either friends or family to start to think in a different way, to start to live and to be in a different way … you know, I want you to know that you are not alone. There are many, many, many of us out here who are path-pavers in our own right, or doing it in our own way, and we’re finding our unique, authentic, joyful expression of our lives. You know, it doesn’t necessarily have to be with a great invention or with some great task, like running a four-minute mile, right — that was impossible until somebody did it, and then once one person did it, a whole bunch of people did it.
So, we’re here. You’re not alone. You are doing better than you think you are, in so many ways. And you’re not crazy. What you desire … you know, it’s been said that what you desire, desires you as well. And I firmly believe that. And … you are becoming the you that you would have liked to have had on your journey. You know, and give that to people. Offer that to people. Be the person — not only for yourself, but also for other people — that you would have liked to have had. And it makes all the difference in the world to bring that authentic expression of you out into the world. It’s not easy, but it is definitely worth it.
So, that is my thought for you for today. And before I close, I do want to offer you a gift, and that is from my heart to yours, and it is an hour of my time for a coaching session where you can experience what it feels like to be heard, to share authentically, and to have somebody just be present with you to kind of drop down into wherever you’re at and listen — and help you find clarity or whatever else it is that you are looking for at that particular time. That hour is your time, and I am here for you.
So, if you would like to take me up on that offer, please message me here on Facebook. If this recording, this video, had any meaning for you, please go ahead and like and share so other people can take advantage of hearing it, too.
So, thanks so much for joining, and I’ll see you next time.
