Today’s topic: Moving from head (concept) to heart (experience).
And, I have to say that I am fully enjoying doing these videos. As I alluded to in this one, I feel like my job is just to show up, be willing, and let Spirit speak — even if I don’t know why the message comes out as it does. It’s a blessing for me. I hope it is for you.

Well, hey there. It’s Kristen again. Welcome to Day 13 of Love Thyself: 30 Ways, 30 Days.
You know, today, I’m wondering if you have a particular kind of experience, and it kind of ties into what I mentioned the other day. I think it was Day 10, and I was talking about that conscious shifting of thought and feeling and emotion and mood and all of that kind of thing from something that doesn’t feel very good, or might feel negative or like a kind of negative train of thought, to something positive. And I mentioned that the way that I’ve been doing that lately, which has been very successful for me, is listening to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” song. I just love that thing. I play it, as I mentioned, again and again and again. And I start singing it to myself when I find myself having a negative thought, or going down that path.
Now, what that made me think of … I’ve been thinking about that a lot for the past few days, and you know, sometimes we can have a very good understanding of something conceptually, right. I mean, for most of us it might seem kind of obvious to think, OK — I can change my thoughts, or I can shift my thought by, as Tony Robbins says, changing your state, right, or doing something like that.
But even though sometimes we understand the concept — you know, it’s been brought into our awareness, and we can talk about it, and, you know, we say, “Yeah, I get it” if somebody, you know, mentions it to us. There’s a difference to me, both in experience and in the nature of it, when we understand something as a concept up here (head), and when we really feel it here (heart) and when we live it. And you know, you can describe that in a variety of ways. You can say it’s the difference between concept and experience, or moving from your head to your heart, or even integrating, you know, into yourself — into your experience — something that you’ve known.
So, there’s different ways we can describe it, but I think when we experience it — or when you experience it, I think you know what I’m talking about. It’s the kind of thing that can only be experienced. And what I was talking about the other day was that movement to the heart, to the experience, to the really feeling it, and to the feeling it through the doing of it.
So, I don’t know why this has continued to come up, but I have really thought about it since the other day, and so maybe there’s a reason. Maybe, if you’re watching this ,you’re having an experience where, you know, maybe you’re trying to create something in your life and, you know, you’re really working on doing it from up here (head) and it’s just not happening. And you can feel like you’re banging your head against a brick wall. But … so, I say to you, sometimes we have an experience where it just, it moves from here to here (head to heart), or we say, “Oh, I get it,” and something shifts, right.
So, a thought, just a thought for the day: Sometimes when we’re in that place of banging our head against a brick wall because something’s just not happening, maybe we need to take a step back. Maybe we need to take a breath. Maybe we need to shift our focus away for just a little bit, and then all of a sudden it’s there, right — not try so hard, not push so hard, or not try to create so much from here (head) and let the here (heart) kind of happen. And it happens, again, through experience.
So, I kind of feel like I’m talking in circles, but I really … again, this thought had kind of grabbed ahold of me, and so I just wanted to show up today, open my mouth, and see what comes out, and see if that’s helpful to you in any way, shape, or form.
So, today I want to remind you, in case nobody has told you yet today, that you are a beautiful human being. You are doing far better than you think you’re doing, and it’s all OK. It’s really all OK. Everything will come in the perfect time, it will unfold in the perfect time, and you don’t have to try so hard and push so hard from up here (head). Allow it here (heart), feel it here (heart), and it will come. And it will come in a way that here (head) could never have predicted.
