Today’s topic: How do you have fun?

If you prefer reading to watching, here’s the transcript:

Well, hey there. It’s Kristen, and welcome to Day 10 of Love Thyself: 30 Ways, 30 Days.

Today, in honor of the topic, I am sporting some Pippi Longstocking braids, as you can see. And today is all about fun.

So, I realized several years ago that one of the questions that I would ask people — and I still actually do when getting to know them — I’d say, “What do you do for fun?” And I think that’s a great way to get to know somebody. And, you know, not just what they do for a living or, you know, what kind of … what their family is like in terms of having kids or not kids, or dogs, or whatever, cats, you know, that kind of thing. But also fun — what do you do for fun?

And I realized, too, that I don’t know if I really knew what I did for fun. For a long time, I was very caught up, I think, in working and life and, you know, doing what needed to be done versus what I really enjoyed. And, so, I had to sit with that and really kind of rediscover what was fun for me, and that took some time. And I think I’m still doing that. I think, you know, we all kind of do that. We can get into patterns where, again, we just kind of get caught up in life and doing what we need to do and lose track of the fun things.

So, what is it that you think is fun, and what would bring you fun, and what would you enjoy?

So, that’s my thought for today. Kind of quick and simple but, you know, one of those things that I think is very powerful. So, I hope this was a meaningful thought for you for today. And, just in case anybody hasn’t told you yet today, I want to let you know that I think you’re fabulous. I really do. I think that you’re doing better than you think you are, and you are so worth it to take some time for yourself and sit and enjoy and just be. Just have fun and be.

So, thank you so much for joining. Oh, and I don’t want to close without offering you a free gift, to you from me, which is an hour of my time for a strategic coaching session to help you gain clarity around whatever it is you’d like to gain clarity (with) in your life. If you’re seeing this on Facebook, go ahead and message me, I’ll get back to you, and we will set up a time and we’ll talk.

Thanks so much for joining, and I will see you tomorrow.
